Joan M. Benore is the Vice President of Administration for Benore Logistic Systems, Inc. (“BLS”), a third party logistic solutions company founded in 1994 in Erie, Michigan.
Joan leads the administrative departments of the company that include human resources, talent acquisition, safety, and legal. Joan helped create and develop Benore Holding Company, which is the parent company to BLS, along with a property development company, equipment leasing company and an agricultural business. Joan serves on the Executive Board of Directors for each of these entities. She became a member of SAWF in 2016, and was appointed to the board in 2017 where she is actively involved with the scholarship committee and fundraising.
Joan is a life-long member of the Monroe County Historical Society, and was a former member of its Board of Directors. She is also a current member of the Monroe International Friendship Association (MIFA), a past member of its Board of Directors, and was a past MIFA delegate-traveling to Japan to secure Monroe County’s Chamber of Commerce’s business relationship with Japan. In August of 2016, Joan became an honorary citizen of Hofu City, Japan.
Married to Jeffery Benore for 30 years, Joan resides in Erie, MI with their three children, Jaimie, Julia, and Joseph. Joan enjoys being an active parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, where she was a founding member of the Parish Finance Committee, as promulgated by the Archdiocese of Detroit. Joan likes to spend her spare time with her family, traveling, and shopping.
