Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette, State of South Carolina

Pamela Evette is the 93rd Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina and the first female Republican lieutenant governor.  

An entrepreneur and businesswoman, Evette has received numerous business and professional accolades, including the ATHENA Leadership Award® and the Enterprising Woman of the Year Award. 

Since taking office in January of 2019, Evette has been laser-focused on utilizing her professional background to highlight S.C.’s thriving small business ecosystem and attract new business to the state. Her passion for serving others has guided her to also focus on early childhood education, to promote school choice, to bring greater awareness to S.C. non-profits, and to encourage innovative public-private partnerships. 

Evette serves on the boards of directors of the St Francis Foundation and the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO). 

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Cleveland State University. A resident of Travelers Rest, S.C., Evette enjoys spending time with her husband David, their three children, and her mother Jennie who lives with them.
